Counting Macros??

"Macro"nutrient Counting can be very overwhelming and confusing in the beginning.

 

What exactly does it mean to "count macros??"

 

I'm so glad you asked!

First we need to begin with macronutrients. There are 3 {well actually 4 but we're only going to focus on 3} macronutrients in the food we consume. 

Protein

Carbohydrates

Fat

{Alcohol is the 4th}

  Counting macros simply means you will keep track of the total amount of macronutrients you consume on a daily basis.

  You will measure and weigh your food while tracking with an online tool. Nellie will calculate the perfect ratio of macronutrients for YOUR daily needs.

  You get to choose the food you consume each day as long as it falls within your daily "macro"nutrient allowance. Nellie will educate you on how to properly weigh and track your food. She will also guide you to find foods that you LOVE, that are nutrient dense, flavorful, fit within your macros AND leave you feeling satisfied. 

  Nellie's primary goal as a nutrition coach is to help you discover freedom through food. To eat things you enjoy (without guilt), develop a true understanding of food, all while achieving results through a sustainable lifestyle.
